As a real estate agent for the past 15 years, I have enjoyed specializing in listing and selling some of Longview and the area's finest homes but I certainly don't limit my listing/selling to only those properties. I enjoy listing/selling in all price ranges of homes, land and estates.

I am proud and thankful to have been a top producer since entering real estate and appreciate having been voted as "One of the Area's Top Real Estate Agents" by the Longview News Journal several years in this business. Before entering real estate, I was with the Longview Chamber of Commerce as Director of Membership & Programs and also in other sales related fields and banking. I feel each of these prepared me for my real estate career and are still helpful to me and my customers.

Family is very important to me. My husband, Daren of 20+ years and I met while attending SFASU, married and moved to Longview in 1983 and have loved raising our sons Damen, 17 years and Dax 6 years here, in Longview. I was raised in Elysian Fields and Daren was a Kilgore native, so Longview was a perfect fit!

Faith is also very important to me. My family and I attend Macedonia Baptist Church where we have been members since 2000.

I am proud to be a Life Member of the Longview Partnership (formerly Chamber of Commerce), member of the Longview Board of Realtors, member of the State and National Association of Realtors, member of the Longview High School PTA and Longview Football Boosters. I am currently enrolled in the Sheffield School of Interior Designs. My hobbies include singing (praise & worship ministry) and decorating!

I was once asked "what makes a good real estate agent?"  In my opinion, the answer to that question is, "what is most important to YOU, the customer or client?"  Ultimately, getting your property SOLD or finding the perfect place to call "home" is the #1 priority, but your relationship with your Realtor should feel good...it should be easy...not a pressure or "have to" relationship.  It is...a friendship first, and a business relationship second. I love listing and selling real estate and have always enjoyed decorating as a hobby for myself, but in recent years, I have come to help customers, friends and family with their home decorating needs.  That is what prompted me to start working toward securing an interior design designation from the Sheffield School of Interior Design...so I could stay on the "cutting edge" and offer my customers & friends, the best possible help in this area, thus, helping make their homes worth more money, when they are ready to sell! It's a Win-Win situation for my customers & friends and for me!

Trina's Helpful Tips - For Sellers

TRINA'S HELPFUL TIPS FOR SELLERS...

Sellers, let me help you "stage" your home to sell faster!  Here are several tips to try before showing you house.

1) Create A Mood - You want to create a nice, relaxed mood by turning on "soft" and "easy" listening throughout your house.  This can be achieved even without an expensive sound system by turning to your cable channels on your television to easy listening or on your computer!

2) Good Smells - If you have pets, you may not even realize that your animals have smells that others don't enjoy.  Stay away from heavy fragrances, also.  The best solution for a scent that appeals to most senses, is to turn your oven to 200 degrees, place a cookie sheet with cinnamon sprinkled on it and place in oven about 15 minutes before buyers arrive.  It will smell as though you've been baking!

3) Light & Bright - Turn on your accent lamps and main lighting in each room so that others see everything as "light and bright"!

4) Clutter Free - Remove any clutter...piles of papers, clothing, etc.  Anything that is not serving a purpose in a room or on a countertop.  Get rid of piles in corners to create an organized look!

5) Clean - a clean house makes a good impression, always.  The most important rooms are your kitchen and bathrooms.  These can be extreme "turn-offs" to buyers if they are not presented as "clean".
