Bud Summers

Bud, a Longview resident, attended Longview public schools and graduated from Longview High School. He and his wife of eight years, Alexis Hill Summers, and their two children are members of The First Methodist Church. There, he serves as a board member for the Asbury House and is a former member of the Administrative Board. In addition, Bud is a member of the Leadership Longview Class of 2000, Boys and Girls Club board member, Good Shepherd Hospital Gold Rush Prospector and president-elect of the Longview Area Association of Realtors for 2007.

$8000 TAX CREDIT

$8,000 Home Buyer Tax Credit at a Glance

  • The tax credit is for first-time home buyers only or those buyers that have not owned a home in the past 3 years.
  • The tax credit does not have to be repaid.
  • The tax credit is equal to 10 percent of the home’s purchase price up to a maximum of $8,000.
  • The credit is available for homes purchased on or after January 1, 2009 and before December 1, 2009.
  • Single taxpayers with incomes up to $75,000 and married couples with incomes up to $150,000 qualify for the full tax credit.
